What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive device that combines two powerhouse rejuvenative treatments to dramatically reduce signs of aging. This fractional radio frequency treatment remodels skin, using a combination of microneedling and localized heat to boost your body’s production of collagen and elastin with minimal downtime. This customizable treatment provides non-surgical skin tightening, improves texture, evens skin tone, melts fat, suppresses acne and scarring, reduces under-eye bags and minimizes the appearance of stretch marks. Morpheus8 is FDA approved for full body remodeling for all skin tones including but not limited to the following areas: face, eyes, neck, chest, décolleté, breasts, abdomen, flanks, buttocks, knees, and thighs.

What could I expect from Morpheus8?

Morpheus treatments are performed in our Cool Springs location by one of our certified clinicians. During treatment, a hand-piece is used to stamp the areas with the microneedles that deliver radio frequency energy to the treatment area.

Frequently Asked Questions

There is little to no discomfort associated with Morpheus treatments, as we apply a topical numbing solution before the treatment to ensure maximum comfort during the procedure. Your skin may be visibly red, swollen with some pinpoint bruising from the punctures and feel sensitive to the touch leaving the treatment. We recommend avoiding sun exposure, excess heat (i.e. sauna, hot yoga, hot tub) or sweating post. Patients are sent home with specific aftercare directions and kit including a gentle cleanser, post procedural cream to reduce downtime as well as a chemical free sunscreen. Activities and the use of makeup can be resumed the following day to ensure proper healing. You can expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to one week. Patients may experience a slight itching sensation which is normal during the healing process.
Morpheus treatments are typically performed in 3-90 minutes depending on what area (s) we are treating. We have patients come 80 minutes prior to their scheduled treatment so our clinicians can cleanse and numb the area.
The production of collagen and elastin takes time which is seen over a few months. Some patients see immediate results in the appearance of their skin just days following the treatment. Over the course of 4-6 weeks, you will see substantial improvements. The final results can be seen after about 12 weeks. Some patients see results immediately following the treatment. Results will vary for each patient and concern addressed, and a series of treatments is always recommended to achieve and maintain optimal results.
Results from the Morpheus8 can last up to 18+ months. An annual routine treatment may be needed following completion of the initial series to maintain results.
For the best results, we at Franklin Skin and Laser recommend receiving this treatment in a series of 3-6. However, this depends on the goals of the patient and the severity of the case.
