Glowing Skin Awaits
At Franklin Skin and Laser, we take pride in offering revitalizing chemical peel treatments that help you reveal the true beauty of your skin. Our chemical peels are carefully designed to address various skin concerns, such as acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and dullness. Our aesthetic specialists deliver safe and effective peels using advanced formulations and tailored approaches, ensuring a revitalized and youthful complexion.
A Fresh StartFor Your Skin
Chemical peels are a quick, effective option for the treatment of several skin concerns. Chemical peels are applied topically to remove damaged outer layers of skin for the face and body to revive the skin without the use of lasers or other minimally invasive procedures. As old cells slough off after a peel, the growth of new, healthy cells is accelerated, and the appearance of the skin is significantly improved. If you are looking to add to your regular facial and body treatments, an in-office chemical peel is a great option to keep your skin looking fresh and radiant. When completed in a series, chemical peels stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, in turn, leave you with healthier, younger-looking skin.
What chemical peels Do You Offer?
There are many types of chemical peels that aim to improve various concerns like fine lines, discoloration, scarring, and uneven texture.
We offer a range of chemical peels with different prescription strength ingredients/actives to help remove dull, dead skin and reveal healthy, radiant skin underneath, no matter your skin type. Light chemical peels are ideal for minor skin imperfections and unwanted pigmentation. However, deeper peels can be used to treat conditions such as acne, stubborn melasma, and scarring. It is important to take special care of those with sensitive or ethnic skin to avoid discoloration, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or worsening of a current condition.
A lighter peel, the Illuminize Peel™ is ideal for the superficial treatment of sun damage, dark spots, wrinkles, and other common concerns that occur in aging skin. This peel’s main ingredients include salicylic acid, phytic acid, and alpha-hydroxy acid. Within hours after an Illuminize Peel™, skin looks and feels noticeably tighter. Due to its gentleness, this peel is safe for all skin types and produces no downtime, which makes it perfect for a pre-event pampering treatment.
Gentle but a bit stronger than other peels, the Vitalize Peel® can reverse signs of aging and sun damage. With ingredients like alpha-hydroxy acid, beta-hydroxy acid, retinoic acid, and resorcinol, the Vitalize Peel® is suitable for all skin types. This medium-strength peel will evoke peeling that lasts a few days, after which the skin looks and feels supple and vibrant.
Combat the signs of sun damage, aging, and minimize scarring with the Rejuvenize Peelâ„¢. Using the powerful combination of alpha and beta hydroxyl acids, resorcinol, and retinoic acid, the Rejuvenize Peelâ„¢ produced immediately noticeable results. The solution applied to the skin also contains a penetration enhancer and an anti-irritant that protects and soothes the skin. Over the course of a few days after the Rejuvenize Peelâ„¢, skin will lightly flake and peel. These effects can be minimized with moisturizer and makeup.
This medium-strength, medical-grade chemical peel helps to minimize signs of aging, including fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, melasma and uneven skin texture, dullness, and tone. VI Peel also targets acne and acne scarring and helps minimize pore size. The VI Peel can also be used as an aging preventative for younger skin that has no visible signs of aging. The VI Peel formula contains a proprietary blend of active ingredients, including salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), phenol, vitamin C, and retinoic acid. The VI Original Peel is indicated for all skin types, signs of aging, acne, even skin tone, smooths away rough skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and reduces the appearance of Keratosis Pilaris.
This 3-Step peel is safe and effective for all skin types and tones for those concerned with melasma, acne, fine lines, texture, roughness, large pores, and dull skin. Not just another ordinary peel, the ZO 3-Step Peel™ is the only multifunctional epidermal peel designed to provide longer-lasting treatment benefits. Utilizing a blend of exfoliants, a 6% concentration of retinol, and multi-action agents that stimulate collagen and restore moisture balance, it evens skin texture for softer, smoother, tighter-looking skin. The ZO® 3-Step Peel™ is an innovative in-office treatment for professional use only, designed to support dermal and epidermal stimulation.
Flawless Complexion Unveiled
Our Franklin chemical peels offer an array of benefits that go beyond just skin-deep. By gently exfoliating the outermost layer of your skin, these treatments stimulate cellular turnover, promoting the growth of fresh, healthier skin cells.
This leads to improved texture, diminished wrinkles, and a reduction in the appearance of scars and blemishes. Additionally, chemical peels encourage collagen production, enhancing skin elasticity and firmness. The result is a radiant and youthful glow that reflects your inner beauty and confidence.
Professional Recommendations
You won’t, but our clinicians will! Every client has an initial consultation where we review your concerns, assess your skin, and create a custom treatment plan with our professional recommendations.
Chemical peels are categorized by how deeply they penetrate the skin: light, medium, or deep. The type and depth of chemical peel administered will depend on your skin type, concerns, Fitzpatrick type, and skincare habits. We discuss all treatments that you may benefit from for optimal results and enhanced skin health. All aesthetic treatments are not created equal, which is why we have numerous peels and resurfacing treatments we can choose from. It is important to discuss your goals and time frames with one of our providers, given that these treatments have various downtimes.
Start Your Skin Rejuvenation Journey
Your journey towards rejuvenated skin begins with a comprehensive chemical peel consultation. Our skincare experts will take the time to understand your unique skin concerns and goals, crafting a personalized treatment plan to address your specific needs. We will discuss the various types of chemical peels available, explain the expected outcomes, and answer any questions, ensuring you feel comfortable and informed before proceeding with the treatment.
All our clinicians are certified medical aestheticians with years of training and advanced chemical peel service experience. At Franklin Skin and Laser, we are proud to offer peels from leading skin care companies like SkinMedica, ZO Skin Health and VI.
Reveal Radiant Skin
During the procedure for a chemical peel Franklin's skilled professionals will cleanse your skin thoroughly before applying the customized peel solution.
The solution will be left on your skin for a specific period, allowing it to work its magic. You may experience a mild tingling sensation during the process, but rest assured; we prioritize your comfort throughout. Afterward, the peel will be neutralized and removed, leaving your skin refreshed and rejuvenated. The procedure is typically quick, allowing you to return to your daily activities with minimal downtime.
Rejuvenate
And Renew
Following your Franklin chemical peel treatment, you will notice a gradual improvement in your skin's texture, tone, and clarity. Over the next few days, the old skin will naturally shed, revealing the fresh and luminous skin beneath. Depending on the intensity of the peel, you may experience some redness or peeling, but this is a normal part of the rejuvenation process. As your skin continues to heal, you will witness the full extent of the results, enjoying a revitalized and radiant complexion.
successful Treatment
There are many ways to enhance and extend your chemical peel results. At your initial consultation, we send you home with instructions explaining how to best prepare for your upcoming appointment and what to expect after your peel with product recommendations as well as what to avoid. Following these instructions is key to a successful treatment. Chemical peels can be administered in between facial services and laser treatments or used in conjunction with other collagen-stimulating treatments like Morpheus8 or wrinkle relaxers like Botox and Xeomin. Your in-home daily regimen should also be updated every 3 months to ensure you are using the correct products seasonally that are tailored to your skin type.
Erase The Years
After your chemical peel, it is crucial to follow the recommended aftercare instructions provided by our team. This may include avoiding direct sunlight, using gentle skincare products, and staying hydrated.
While your skin heals, it is essential to keep it moisturized and protected. Our team will be available to address any post-treatment concerns and guide you through a smooth recovery process. As your skin flourishes, regular maintenance and skincare routines will help preserve and prolong the benefits of your chemical peel, keeping your skin looking its best for the long term.
A chemical peel can cause a slight warming or burning sensation but is not considered painful. Our medical aesthetician performing the peel will make sure you are comfortable throughout the procedure. While patients should not feel pain during or after the procedure, the peel may cause the skin to have temporarily increased sensitivity. You may experience some swelling, stinging, redness, irritation, crusting, and flaking after your peel. All these sensations are considered normal and should not alarm you.
Like other facial treatments, peels can be administered as often as every four weeks, similar to a DiamondGlow or Crystal Clear facial, as long as your skin is healed from the last treatment you received and there are no current contraindications. Given that peels have different depths, the timing of the peel will depend on the type of peel being used. Light peels can be done every four to eight weeks, medium peels can be done every three to four months, and deep peels can be done yearly or every two years.
Our chemical peel appointments are booked for 40 minutes if it is a standalone service. If it is booked with a dermaplane (highly recommended to better prepare the skin for the appointment and enhance results!), the combination treatment is 50 minutes.
