Why Are These Changes Happening to my Vagina?
As we age, the body produces less collagen than in our younger years. The decrease in collagen not only affects areas we see daily like the face and neck — but also those that are not, like our intimate areas! Just as in your skin, collagen in your vaginal lining is responsible for elasticity and structure. Once collagen production decreases, the vaginal tissue also begins to thin causing the vagina to become weak and fragile. This can result in laxity, dryness, loss of sensitivity and incontinence.
The decline in estrogen also happens when women age. Menopause can cause vaginal dryness, itching, lowered libido, loss of sensitivity in the vagina and pain during sex. Vaginal rejuvenation is one way to help combat these issues and maintain a healthy sex life.

Am I A Good Candidate for This Treatment?
Good candidates for this treatment are females who are looking to rejuvenate their inner and outer workings of the vagina that have become problematic after childbirth, natural aging, weight loss or simply interested in feeling more confident aesthetically.
Patients should be in good health and have no underlying conditions that can negatively impact the efficacy of the procedure. You should not have vaginal rejuvenation if you are trying to get pregnant, undergoing intra vitro fertilization (IVF), have a copper IUD, cervical, uterine, or vaginal infection/cancer, active herpes, pelvic inflammatory disease or a disorder of the uterus or endometrium. It is recommended to wait a minimum of 6 weeks after giving birth for treatment. Patients should follow up with their OB-GYN for or treatment clearance after giving birth. Patients should reschedule if they are on their menstrual cycle.
